Product Description of Polystyrene CAS#9003-53-6

Industrial-grade Polystyrene has a purity of ≥99% and appears as a colorless, transparent solid or granules with no odor. It has a melting point of 240°C and decomposes upon boiling. The vapor pressure is negligible at 25°C, with a relative density of 1.05 (20°C).

Polystyrene is insoluble in water but readily soluble in organic solvents such as benzene, toluene, and chloroform. It exhibits good stability under normal conditions and is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents and certain organic solvents.
