Products Description of Polyamide 6 (PA6) CAS#25038-54-4
Polyamide powder (Nylon 6), also known chemically as polycaprolactam, has the structural formula [—NHCH₂₅CO—]n. It is a translucent to milky white thermoplastic resin featuring excellent self-lubricating properties, wear resistance, and solvent resistance. Compared with Nylon 66, Polyamide Powder (Nylon 6) has lower rigidity and offers a broader range of applications.
When used in fiber applications, it is commonly referred to as Nylon 6 or Capron, while in plastic applications it is known as Nylon 6. Nylon 6 chips exhibit excellent ductility, outstanding abrasion resistance, oil resistance, and impact resistance. They also provide high mechanical strength, good heat resistance, excellent impact performance, a high melting point, and favorable molding and processing characteristics.

Product Application of Polyamide 6 (PA6) CAS#25038-54-4
Nylon 6, also known as nylon fiber, is one of the earliest developed synthetic fiber products in the world. It offers excellent properties, including high moisture absorption, good color fastness, high strength, superior abrasion resistance, and corrosion resistance. Due to these outstanding characteristics, Nylon 6 is widely used in textiles, bags, tire cords, transmission belts, hoses, ropes, fishing nets, and other applications.
In addition, Nylon 6 can also be used as an engineering plastic in various industrial fields, including machinery, household appliances, and automobiles. It is further applied in the production of high-load mechanical components, electronic switches and equipment, building and structural materials, and parts for transportation vehicles.
