Product Application of Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF)
PVDF has a wide range of applications, mainly focusing on three key areas: new energy, environmental protection, and industrial corrosion resistance.
New Energy Batteries: It is a key material used as a cathode binder in lithium-ion batteries, with a market penetration rate of up to 90%. It is also applied in separator coatings, playing an important role in improving battery lifespan and stability.
Water Treatment Membranes: PVDF ultrafiltration membranes are resistant to organic contamination, oxidation, and offer high mechanical strength. They are widely used in drinking water purification, industrial wastewater treatment, and seawater desalination pretreatment.
Construction and Chemical Industry: In construction, it is used in fluorocarbon coatings for high-end aluminum curtain walls, providing excellent weather resistance. In the chemical industry, it is used in pipes, valves, pumps, and tank linings due to its outstanding corrosion resistance.
Other Applications: PVDF is also used in photovoltaic backsheet films, wire and cable insulation, sensors, and medical devices such as immunoblotting membranes.
