Products Description of Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate CAS#61789-32-0
Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate is a natural ingredient derived from coconut, particularly coconut oil. It is produced by combining isethionic acid, a naturally occurring sulfonic acid, with fatty acids obtained from coconut oil. The mixture is heated to remove excess water and then distilled to eliminate unwanted fatty acids.
Similar to coconut oil, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate offers excellent moisturizing properties and provides enhanced skin-conditioning effects compared with other surfactants with comparable cleansing and foaming performance. This highly effective ingredient is widely used in soaps, cleansers, and personal care products, where it helps remove dirt and oil while maintaining skin moisture and reducing dryness or irritation.
